Adding veering techniques to your repertoire opens upon an enormous array of design and material possibilities, but can sometimes be intimidating to new makers. This 90 minute session will introduce attendees to the basics of laying up and pressing decorative veneer panels for their furniture projects using both commercial and shop-sawn veneers. Through demos and lecture Owain will cover the essentials of material selection, cutting and taping seams, and pressing and cleaning up veneers. An overview of decorative veneer matches will also be discussed.
